EmergingEdTech Teaching Technology Tweet Wrap

This week was an exciting one! We're on Snapchat now with EmergingEdTech updates! I've been using it for a year or more with my daughter, and felt it was time to get snappin' with edtech content. Most days I'll leave a few updates about favorite teaching and tech apps, interesting news, what I'm writing about, educators and techies I talk with, and so on … it's a fun way to share all the cool tech and teaching resources and ideas I encounter every day! Just look for “emergingedtech” and add us to your stream (and if you’re new to Snapchat but curious, check out A.J. Juliani’s article great, “The Complete Guide to Snapchat for Teachers and Parents”).

Back to this week's wrap … we've got lots of great updates, tools, and tips. First, the DoE is working to figure out to provide aid to Coding Bootcamp students, which just goes to show the momentum behind the ‘just-in-time' microcredentials movement and the dis-aggregation of the higher ed degree (we see more of this in a Forbes article about 10 platforms for learning digital skills), the article “9 ways to improve your district’s digital leadership” includes goods ideas not just for admins but for teachers too, we've a couple good articles on engaging students with active learning, come explore the OpenEd Lesson Plan add-on for Google docs, a whole bunch platforms that enable you provide digital badges, and there's plenty more!
