Songs for Sandy - Buy A Few Songs and Help Victims of Sandy Who Are Still Struggling to Get Back on Their Feet
All proceeds from sales of all songs throughout the month of December will be donated to the Victims of Hurricane Sandy Relief effort.
Do you know someone who was impacted by Hurricane Sandy? Do you know that there are still many suffering from the damage done by this monster storm? Many businesses like those in the South Street Seaport are still struggling to get back to normal, their employees are not working or barely making living, and their homes may also be damaged - this type of story is playing out across many parts of southern New York, New Jersey and elsewhere.
I’m very excited about the release of my newest song, “Christmas Time”, a duet with my wife Christine, but when I listen to the warm joy in this song and realize that there are still thousands of people in my home state of New York and nearby New Jersey suffering from the floods and devastation wrought by the hurricane, I realize how important it is to help them out … to help people in need get back to normal lives and to be able to enjoy some comfort and joy this holiday season.
From today forward, throughout the entire month of December, I will donate all proceeds for sales of ANY of my songs on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby to the Victims of Sandy Hurricane Relief effort undertaken by the students, faculty, and staff at The College of Westchester. They raised enough food and funds to feed over 1,100 people over Thanksgiving Weekend, and their food and financial contributions have helped thousands more over the last few weeks, and their efforts to help continue. (I’ll update this page with the final figure when the donation is made at the end of January when the funds come in from the song distributors).
